Bogor, October 4, 2025 — The Bogor Science Club (BSC) of IPB University Graduate School officially held an inauguration, upgrading, and working meeting (Raker) as the first step in preparing its work program for the coming year.
BSC is a scientific organization for graduate students at IPB University, founded on November 11, 2012, and officially recognized by the Dean of the IPB University Graduate School on April 6, 2013. Now, in its 12th year, BSC continues to grow as an active scientific forum with an extensive alumni network and collaborations across disciplines and institutions.
The name “Bogor” attached to this organization reflects the spirit of collaboration with various external parties within IPB University that share similar visions and missions.

Bogor, October 4, 2025 — The Bogor Science Club (BSC) of IPB University Graduate School officially held an Inauguration, Upgrading, and Work Meeting (Raker) as the first step in preparing its work program for the coming year.
The event, held in the Senate Room on the 6th floor of the Andi Hakim Nasution Building, IPB University, featured the inspiring figure of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Eng. Khoirul Anwar, S.T., M.Eng., inventor of 4G network technology and Director of the University Center of Excellence for Advanced Intelligent Communication at Telkom University, as the main speaker for the upgrading session.
An Inspiring Moment with Indonesian Scientists
The presence of Dr. Khoirul Anwar was a magnet in itself at this year’s BSC upgrading event. In his presentation, he emphasized that true professionalism is not only measured by technical ability, but also by ethics, integrity, and consistency in contributing.
“Professionalism is not just about skills, but about attitude and values. In the modern era, professionalism requires collaboration across disciplines, institutions, and even countries,” said Dr. Khoirul in front of the participants.
He also highlighted that interdisciplinary research is the key to addressing global challenges in science and technology. “Future challenges such as climate change, energy, health, and artificial intelligence cannot be solved by one field of science. International collaboration is a catalyst for scientific reputation and research sustainability,” he said.

The event was specifically designed to improve BSC members’ public speaking skills and boost their confidence in presenting creative ideas. With an interactive and fun atmosphere, participants gained valuable experience to refine their communication skills.
